What is Special Needs Parent Coaching (SNPC)?

SNPC is the setting goals and coaching parents and caregivers of special needs children.  As a parent of a special needs child, I am very aware of the issues families face and offer that experience to other parents in a Life Coaching setting.  

Some of the topics families have come to me about have included:

• Handling the news and life changes after you child is diagnosed.

• Dealing with special education issues - preparing for an ARD, IEP’s, accommodations, etc.

• Time management

• How to still have time for yourself and not feel guilty

• How to talk to family, friends and employers about your child.

• Getting rid of the feeling of isolation and extreme burden

• How to develop and utilize a support network
